2026 NCAA® Men's Final Four® Recap

Indianapolis once again proved why it is a premier destination for world-class sporting events, hosting an unforgettable celebration of men’s college basketball in 2026. For the first time, four basketball championships were held in the same city, as Indianapolis welcomed the NCAA Divisions I, II, and III men’s basketball championship games, along with the NIT championship, truly redefining what it means to be the city “Where Champions are Crowned.”

Beyond the action on the court, Indianapolis showcased the very best of its hospitality, culture, and community spirit. From its thriving culinary and brewing scene to its vibrant neighborhoods, iconic attractions, and arts offerings, Indy delivered a championship experience that extended well beyond the games.

The 2026 NCAA Men’s Final Four and surrounding championship events reinforced Indianapolis’ reputation as a trusted host city and created lasting memories for everyone who came together to celebrate the sport.

Fan Events

Indianapolis was not just the epicenter of basketball during Men's Final Four Weekend, it also hosted some of the largest free and low-cost fan events in the country. 

Men's Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One inside the Indiana Convention Center featured interactive games, celebrity appearances, and autograph signings. Indy set new attendance records for a Men's Final Four for overall attendance across Men's Final Four weekend with over 86,000 fans along with single-day records for Friday, Saturday, and Monday.

March Madness Music Festival presented by AT&T, Capital One, and Coca-Cola found a new home within downtown Indianapolis at American Legion Mall and fans witnessed some of the biggest acts in the country including Twenty One Pilots, Zac Brown Band, and Post Malone. 

Tip-Off Tailgate on Georgia Street was in the middle of the action all weekend long for fans to stop by for free food and drinks, live tv broadcasts, pep rallies, and watch parties for both the Men's and Women's Final Fours games. 

Men's Final Four Dribble presented by GEICO took place on Sunday with over 3,000 kids dribbling their way through downtown Indianapolis from Carroll Stadium on the campus of IU Indianapolis straight to Victory Field.
