First season debuts with behind-the-scenes look at Indy’s historic March Madness “bubble”

INDIANAPOLIS – Just in time for March Madness, and as Indianapolis prepares to host another unprecedented NCAA championship moment in 2026, Visit Indy and Indiana Sports Corp have launched a new four-part podcast series, Hysteria: A Basketball Show. The podcast is now streaming on Apple, Spotify and all major platforms.

The debut season launches today and opens with a behind-the-scenes look at Indianapolis hosting the entire 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, the first and only time the event has been staged in a single city. Five years later, the story serves as a powerful reminder of Indy’s ability to deliver on the biggest stage.

The series comes as Indianapolis prepares to host the 2026 NCAA Men’s Final Four alongside the Division II, Division III and NIT national championships — another first-of-its-kind milestone.

Produced in partnership with Rococo Punch, Hysteria: A Basketball Show explores four defining basketball stories rooted in Indiana’s legacy as the heart of the game, including:

  • The Bubble: The inside story of the 2021 March Madness tournament.

  • The Breakthrough: Documenting the meteoric rise of the women’s game.

  • Undefeated: Hear from the players who led the 1976 Indiana Hoosiers.

  • The Shot: Frontline stories from Butler’s historic run to the 2010 championship game.
