Presented by Lilly and OneAmerica Financial Foundation, the city-wide event promotes water safety through the Swim IN Safety initiative. 

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Sports Corp announced today a city-wide Free Community Pool Day on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Presented by Lilly and OneAmerica Financial Foundation, the event is organized in conjunction with Indy Parks and The Parks Alliance, with support from USA Swimming Foundation.

The Free Community Pool Day is a cornerstone activation of Indiana Sports Corp’s Swim IN Safety initiative. Originally launched as a legacy program of the historic 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming in Indianapolis, Swim IN Safety is dedicated to fostering water safety, expanding access to aquatics, and providing essential drowning prevention education. To date, the initiative has already helped tens of thousands of Hoosiers learn essential water safety skills.

From 11 AM to 6 PM, community members of all ages are invited to enjoy free admission at four Indianapolis public pools.

Participating Locations
All four municipal pools will host the event simultaneously on July 25:

  • Stanley Strader Pool
  • Brookside Pool
  • MLK Jr. Pool
  • Riverside Pool

Attendance Requirements: RSVP & Safety Pledge
While admission is entirely free for all ages, community safety remains the top priority. To secure entry, all attendees must fulfill two requirements prior to arrival:

The pledge encourages families to prioritize safety by committing to smart aquatic practices, such as never swimming alone and ensuring children are actively supervised. Both the RSVP form and the safety pledge can be accessed directly by visiting IndianaSportsCorp.org/swimsafe.
