INDIANAPOLIS - Tickets for the USA Diving Senior National Championships are currently on sale. The Championships take place May 16-26 at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Downtown Indianapolis.
Tickets can be purchased in person at the time of the event or online prior at ticketmaster.com.
All tickets are general admission. Super all-session adult tickets, which includes National Qualifier events on May 16 and 17, are on sale for $65. Student, senior citizen and military super all-session tickets can be purchased for $50.
All-session tickets, May 19-26, are available for $50. Student, senior citizen and military all-session tickets can be purchased for $35. Single-session adult tickets can be purchased for $10. Student, senior citizen and military single-session tickets are $5.
The Senior National Championships is part of the 2019 Team USA Champions Series and will serve as the selection event for divers to qualify for the 2019 Pan American Games and 2019 World Championships Team.
Six Olympians will be participating in the Championships and represent 60 percent of the 2016 Olympic Team. The Olympian competitors include: David Boudia a graduate of Purdue University; Michael Hixon, a recent graduate from Indiana University; Purdue University graduate Steele Johnson; Amy Magaña (maiden name Cozad), an Indianapolis native who attended Indiana University; and recent Indiana University graduate Jessica Parratto.
Boudia is a three time Olympian and a 2012 gold medalist. Boudia partnered with Johnson in the 2016 Olympics winning silver in the synchronized 10-meter platform. Hixon won the silver medal with Sam Dorman in the synchronized 3-meter springboard at the 2016 Olympics. Magaña and Parratto made their Olympic debut in 2016 where they placed 7th in the synchronized 10-meter platform event.
Indianapolis will host three USA Diving events at the IU Natatorium from 2019-2021. For the seventh time in Indianapolis history, the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Diving arrives to the Circle City following the USA Diving Senior National Championships. The event, June 13-21, will determine the divers who will represent the United States at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Closing out the three-year commitment, the 2021 USA Diving Junior National Championships will take place from July 29-August 4.
