INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Sports Corp is proud to announce Rajeev Ram as the recipient of the 2018 Indiana Pathfinder Award. The Indiana Pathfinder Award celebrates local individuals who show a passion for and a dedication to improving the lives of youth throughout the state and nationally. Ram will be given this award alongside National Pathfinder Award recipient Andy Roddick at the Indiana Roof Ballroom during a luncheon on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
“Ram exemplifies the qualities we look for in a Pathfinder Award winner,” said Ryan Vaughn, president of Indiana Sports Corp. “Not only is Ram an accomplished professional, he’s taken his passion for tennis and used it to positively impact the youth of our community through his EntouRaj for Kids charity. Part of the Indiana Sports Corp mission is to positively impact the youth in our community and to recognize others having a similar impact. It is in that spirit that we are thrilled to recognize Rajeev Ram as our Indiana Pathfinder Award recipient.”
Ram graduated from Carmel High School in 2002 and continued his tennis career at the University of Illinois. After winning an NCAA team championship in his first collegiate season, Ram decided to launch his professional tennis career in 2004. Ram’s many accolades on the court include a silver medal in mixed doubles with Venus Williams at the 2016 Rio Olympics, singles championships in 2009 and 2015 at the Hall of Fame Championships and a doubles championship at the 2017 Indian Wells Masters.
In 2010, Ram founded EntouRaj for Kids to give back to the tennis community and youth in the Indianapolis area. His foundation works with local high schoolers and some of the top performing juniors in the community. Similarly, Ram’s organization has hosted professional exhibitions to promote tennis among youth, including one with this year’s National Pathfinder Award recipient Andy Roddick.
Indiana Sports Corp proudly hosts the Pathfinder Award for the 31st year, presented by Ice Miller LLP.
