INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Sports Corp Board of Directors announced today that Patrick Talty has been elected as president of the organization. An established executive leader in the events industry with national and international experience, Talty succeeds Ryan Vaughn. Talty becomes the seventh president of Indiana Sports Corp since its inception in 1979.
“On behalf of the Indiana Sports Corp Board of Directors, we are thrilled to have Patrick serve as the next president of the organization,” said Rick Fuson, Chairman of Indiana Sports Corp and CEO of Pacers Sports & Entertainment. “Patrick has extensive executive leadership experience and is well respected in the sports industry throughout the country.”

Talty last served as the chief operating officer at Indiana Sports Corp where he was responsible for all operational aspects of the country’s largest sportscommission. In that position, he helped lead the organization’s role in the 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and oversaw bidding efforts of several premier sporting events secured to come to Indianapolis in the coming years.

Prior to his time at Indiana Sports Corp, Talty served as the general manager of U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis and was responsible for the oversight and management of one of the newest NFL stadiums in the country. During that time, the stadium hosted Super Bowl LII, the 2019 Men’s Final Four, among other top event properties. Before arriving to Minneapolis, Talty worked for World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) as the senior vice president of live events. As the senior vice president, he managed the global touring of more than 420 live events annually.
Talty began his career in Indianapolis with stops at the Indiana Basketball Academy, The Stephenson Group, and finally as a member of the executive staff at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome.
Talty received his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and did post graduate work at Ball State University.
