INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis will host the 2028 NCAA Divisions II and III women’s basketball championship games. The selection was announced by the NCAA earlier this morning. Both games are scheduled the same weekend as the Women’s Final Four, which was previously awarded to the city.

With this announcement, a national champion will be crowned in Indianapolis in all three divisions over the same weekend of March 31-April 2. This will be the third time that the site of the Women's Final Four will host the joint championships, having done so previously in Indianapolis in 2016 and Dallas in 2023. Indiana Sports Corp will manage the Indiana Host Committee in partnership with NCAA Host Institutions - Horizon League and IU Indy.

This follows yesterday’s announcement that Indianapolis was awarded the 2026 men’s Divisions II and III basketball championship games to join the Men’s Final Four the same year.

More information surrounding these championships will be released at a later date.
