INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis will play host to the 2027 and 2028 Division II Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, the NCAA announced on Wednesday. In total, 15 regional and national championships will take place in the state of Indiana during the 2026-27 and 2027-28 seasons.
Indy has previously hosted 37 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships across all three divisions. Indiana Sports Corp and the Great Lakes Valley Conference will serve as hosts for the events, which will take place at the IU Natatorium.
2028 will also be highlighted by the Women’s Final Four and the Division II and Division III Women’s Basketball National Championships that were previously awarded to Indianapolis by the NCAA. It will mark the second time Indy will host all three women’s basketball national championships over the same weekend.
Indianapolis and Indiana Sports Corp have a long and storied history of hosting NCAA championships having held over 70 NCAA national championships across all three divisions starting with the 1980 Men’s Final Four.

- 2027 Division I Women’s Golf Regionals, Fort Wayne (Host: Purdue University Fort Wayne)
- 2027 and 2028 Division II Men’s Basketball Elite Eight, Fort Wayne (Host: Great Midwest Athletic Conference)
- 2027 and 2028 Division II Women’s Basketball Elite Eight, Fort Wayne (host: Great Midwest Athletic Conference)
