INDIANAPOLIS - The 31st Annual Inspiring Sports Charity Golf Tournament, presented by CNO Financial Group and hosted by Indiana Sports Corp, will take place on Monday, June 25, at The Sagamore Club of Noblesville, Ind. The tournament includes morning and afternoon shotgun tee times while teams compete in a scramble-style tournament over the 18-hole course.
Indiana Sports Corp has renamed its annual Youthlinks Charity Golf Tournament to the Inspiring Sports Charity Golf Tournament after a recent organization re-brand. As part of Indiana Sports Corp’s strategic plan and mission to create opportunities for Indiana youth, the organization has pulled all youth programs and initiatives under the Inspiring Sports umbrella.
Proceeds of this charity event go towards the Inspiring Sports Grant Program, formerly the Susan Williams CHAMPS Grants. Twelve youth-serving organizations throughout Indiana have been selected as Inspiring Sports Grant Recipients, providing undeserved youth with the opportunity to participate in sports, fitness activities and life skills programming.
“Part of Indiana Sports Corp’s mission is to create opportunities for the youth in our community,” said Indiana Sports Corp President Ryan Vaughn. “The Inspiring Sports Charity Golf Tournament helps support youth-serving organizations throughout the state expand their programs and increase the impact.”
Since 1988, the charity golf tournament has generated more than $6.5 million that have been reinvested to support various youth sports programs. In 2017 alone, Indiana Sports Corp impacted 95,163 Indiana youth through its Inspiring Sports initiatives.
A luncheon program will take place between the morning and afternoon flights and feature three special guests. The emcee for this year’s lunch program is Gerry Dick from Inside INdiana Business and he will be interviewing Bill Hancock, College Football Playoff Executive Director, JoAn Scott, NCAA Managing Director of the Men’s Basketball Championship and Bill Benner, Executive Director of the Pacers Foundation. They will be previewing the three premier events coming to Indianapolis – 2021 NBA All-Star, 2021 NCAA Men’s Final Four and 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship.
