2024 Discover Big Ten Football Championship Game

The city of Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium will play host to the 14th annual Big Ten Football Championship Game on December 7, 2024. For the first time, the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the new 18-team Big Ten will meet for the Amos Alonzo Stagg Trophy and a coveted first-round bye in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff. Kickoff for the game is set for 8 PM ET on CBS.

Michigan has won the Discover Big Ten Championship Game three years in a row (2021, 2022, 2023), while Ohio State holds five championships (2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020), the most victories in this event. Wisconsin (2011 and 2012) and Michigan State (2013 and 2015) have each won two Big Ten Championship Games, while Penn State was victorious in 2016. Ohio State leads all schools with seven Big Ten Championship Game appearances, followed by Wisconsin with six, Michigan State and Iowa with three, Michigan and Northwestern with two each, and one title game berth each for Nebraska, Penn State and Purdue.

Out of the four new Big Ten Teams, Oregon holds four victories in six appearances in conference championship games, followed by Washington with three victories in three appearances, USC with three appearances and UCLA with two trips.
