The NCAA will stage the entire 2021 men’s basketball championship in Indiana, with the majority of the tournament’s 67 games taking place in Indianapolis. Selection Sunday is still scheduled for March 14, and plans remain to have the Final Four April 3 and 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Games will be played on two courts inside Lucas Oil Stadium, as well as Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Mackey Arena in West Lafayette and Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Only one game at a time will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium.
CBS Sports and Turner Sports will continue to distribute all 67 games of the tournament across TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV and their digital platforms.
The 2021 Men’s Final Four is scheduled for April 3 and 5, 2021 at Lucas Oil Stadium, and will be the city’s eighth Men’s Final Four. Indianapolis hosted its seventh Men’s Final Four in April of 2015. The eight Men’s Final Fours in Indianapolis are second only to the 10 hosted in Kansas City (most recently in 1988).
How to Get Involved
The NCAA and the Indianapolis Host Committee are committed to leaving a positive and lasting impact across Indianapolis, the metro area, and the state of Indiana. The Fan Jam will bring this mission to life and amplify by bringing fun basketball-themed appearances through a series of grassroots, interactive, “pop-up events.” Depending on the event, Fan Jam presence may include our colorfully wrapped truck or Final Four-branded tent space.
If you’d like to request to have the Fan Jam engage with your group/organization/event, please fill out an appearance request form. Appearances depend on availability.
Read to the Final Four is a reading competition encouraging schools to log the most minutes reading and make the top 68 schools in the state. The program uses a digital literacy platform, powered by Renaissance myON®, to provide access to books and track time spent reading. The top schools throughout Indiana will be selected Jan. 29 during an official selection show to advance to the final bracket-style competition. Teams will then advance based on the number of minutes read during each week, with the Final Four schools celebrated during the 2021 Final Four festivities April 3 and 5 in Indianapolis.
From nurses to your mail carriers, firefighters to your local grocery clerk, we all know someone who has put serving our community first. Nominate an individual or organization to be a Final Four Frontline Hero, and the NCAA and Indianapolis Local Organizing Committee will recognize their work with a surprise visit from the Final Four Fan Jam and official 2021 Final Four swag to show our support and appreciation.
